My wife and I made our 1st visit to the Canal Side Inn on New Year’s Eve. The wait staff was very accommodating and sat us right away. The service was prompt and courteous. Our waitress appeared each time we had a question without hovering and was very pleasant. Chef John was very sociable and made a point to visit each table and converse with everyone. He made a Lobster mac & cheese as a special appetizer for us and we enjoyed it so much we ordered a full portion to take home with us. I had the Filet Mignon which was full of flavor and prepared exactly as requested. My wife was intrigued by the description of “Chef John’s Signature Bleu Crabe Églefin” which she chose for dinner. A generous portion without being too much. The combination of flavors made for an enjoyable meal. In all, we had a memorable New Year’s Eve at The Canal Side Inn and look forward to a return visit
